Dan Vogl is an indie/pop artist born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. Originally a self-taught singer/songwriter, Dan has honed his craft seeking mentoring from industry professionals like Ainslie Wills, Darren Middleton (Powderfinger)and Joel Quatermain (Eskimo Joe, Meg Mac, G-flip) to expand on his songwriting and performance skills.
Dan’s songwriting involves an eclectic mix of folk, indie, pop and rock with the key objective to create a strong emotional connection to the listener. His unique vocal tone an ode to the CD’s played in his fathers ’91 Pajero, with Crowded House, Hunters & Collectors and Men at Work the most popular.
Dan’s live show is an amalgamation of fragile moments and upbeat sing-alongs both solo and with his band, has performed headline shows at the Northcote Social Club, Bar Open and The Workers Club. In 2017 he opened the Hills Are Alive festival and also released his first two singles to a sold out crowds at the The Gasometer Hotel. Dan was awarded a songwriting scholarship at The Australian College of the Arts and was also a participant of the ‘The Push’ Music Industry Pathways Mentoring Program for 2017. He also garnered the opportunity supporting Reuben Stone on his 2017 residency.
