Jade Talbot is a Melbourne-based vocalist who is comfortable singing in a variety of styles. Her singing life began at the age of 9 performing in the National Children’s Choir of Australia. From there Jade became interested in pop and musical theatre, performing at a community and high school level in Grease, Carmen, Little Shop of Horrors, 13, and OSMAD’s Chess as the soprano 1 vocalist.

Jade’s accolades as a vocalist include recording and performing with Melbourne’s prominent indie pop artist and lead singer of Cat Empire, Felix Riebl. She has recorded and performed with Barney Mcall, a leader in Australian and International improvisation, and features on his most recent ASIO album. Whilst performing and recording in numerous groups as both a side and front vocalist, Jade has been curating her own solo set which she performs in venues around Melbourne including JazzLab, Bennett’s Lane, The Workers Club, Open Studio, The Gasometer and Thornbury Theatre.

Jade is continually exploring new areas for her own compositions and is developing several projects as a composer and arranger for small and large ensembles.
