Emerging pop queen MAXON is an artist from the Mornington Peninsula, currently shaking audiences across the state with her trademark vocal and boundless song-writing talents.

In three short years of launching, MAXON has won many hearts and inked herself deep into the Melbourne music scene. Releasing her debut EP in 2016 (showcased at The Workers’ Club), ‘New World’ gave listeners a glimpse into the musical world of Maxon.

Last year MAXON released her single ‘No Impersonator’, and launched to a sold out Paris Cat Jazz Club. A vulnerable, soaring ballad masquerading as a comforting lullaby to spotlight the life of the many pseudo-extroverts of the creative industries. This is something MAXON has experienced and addressed in an attempt to raise awareness and help those who suffer from such anxieties.

The past year has been an incredible journey, having performed alongside Australian favourites, Jamie MacDowell and Tom Thum, Tim Ayre, Gretta Ray and Ella Hooper (MOTH IWD show), Eilish Gilligan, Angie McMahon, Kylie Auldist and Wendy Matthews. Maxon has been involved in showcasing the Mornington Peninsula’s finest in the Music Crawl, LivenLocal with Hachiku, St Kilda Festival 18’ and two packed shows with the latest incarnation of the If You See Her Say Hello choir.

Gearing up to release her brand new single ‘History’ (NOV 9), MAXON is excited to share a story untold. ‘History’ is an undeniably powerful pop/rock masterpiece lamenting the ideas of a gauranteed love now proven to be condition. It is the reflection of a period of cyclic grieving and is highly symbolic of a dream and a journey well worth the time and tears.

Those lucky enough to see MAXON live in the coming months will witness a stirring the Australian music scene is yet to encounter.

"MAXON's voice is bold and reaches depths that I could only dream of and I love the way that it is used in this track. It's probably the strongest part of this song, and I think their is room for development in parts of this tune but, that doesn't take away from the powerhouse that is this artist." - Nkechi Anele
